Dec 7 The DTLA Mini Maker Faire is taking over Los Angeles Central Library, Maguire Gardens and part of Fifth Street from Grand Avenue to Flower Street in the heart of downtown, making it the largest Maker Faire to-date in the City of Los Angeles. This event is expected to draw over 10,000 attendees, and include more than 110 exhibitors from all over California and beyond. The fourth-annual gizmodic gathering will showcase some of LA’s best tech enthusiasts, crafters, scientists, tinkerers, inventors, educators, and artists of all ages. Stroll through a wide variety of displays and hands-on exhibits featuring robotics and artificial intelligence/machine learning, AR/VR, sustainable making, engineering, kinetic art, microelectronics, 3D printing and imagery, space exploration, health, drones, handmade arts and crafts, music and more.

Dec 7 & 8 The first West Coast Craft Faire Los Angeles takes place in the South Lot at Skylight ROW DTLA in the heart of LA’s historic downtown. This festive outdoor market will feature over 300 of the best artist and designer craftspeople just in time for the holiday season! The West Coast Craft (WCC) Scholarship Program awards four half booths to emerging designers and artists who have never shown at a major craft and design show. As part of their ongoing efforts to make WCC increasingly diverse and inclusive, two of those four spots are reserved for people of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
